Meet the Photographer
Hello! My name is Sarah and I'm so happy to meet you! I'm a natural light photographer based out of Traverse City, MI (more specifically, the Leelanau Penninsula!) I'm so grateful that I live in Northern Michigan, where I can take advantage of the beauty it has to offer! I grew up with a love of nature and that is reflected in my photography.
I am a light, bright, and airy portrait photographer. I do senior, family/maternity, and engagement sessions.

MY STYLE
I’m a natural-light photographer and I love to use the outdoors as my studio. My style is bright and natural and I love capturing the moment for how it is! Being a natural-light photographer means that I use the sunlight and open shade to capture the moment, and tend to stray away from artificial light as much as possible.
TIME OF DAY
The absolute best and preferred time to start a portrait session is just before "Golden Hour" to achieve that beautiful dreamy lighting! "Golden Hour" is considered to be at sunrise or starting two hours before sunset. Times can change depending on the season and event. So if possible, I always recommend starting a session at these times!
LOCATION
I am located in the heart of Leelanau County, MI. I am originally from Newaygo, MI, about an hour north of Grand Rapids, MI. I am more than willing to travel! I love it when my clients ask me to photograph them in a location that means something special to them! I will travel for free up to 30 miles. If it is further than that, I charge $0.50 per mile.
